Rule of reservatioin file approved by the Honble Chief Minister

PRESS STATEMENT FOR FAVOUR OF PUBLICATION
                                                                                    Dated 19/10/2011.

We thank the Honorable Chief Minister Sri Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy garu and the Honorable Minister for the Women Development and Disabled Welfare Smt. Sunitha Laxma Reddy garu for considering the long pending demand of the Disabled Employees giving reservation in promotions to all the categories of employees from Class IV to Gazetted services. The Rule of reservation should have been implemented from the date of enactment of “The Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995”, which came into effect from 01/01/1996.
About 30000 disabled employees working in all the departments spread allover the Andhra Pradesh would be benefited with this reservation policy.
We request the government to issue the amendments to all the relevant rules immediately to enable to implement the policy from the Panel year 2011-12 onwards.
We also request the government to consider all other following long pending demands of the Association at the earliest possible.
1.      RELAXATION IN TRANSFERS AND POSTINGS
2.      WEIGHTAGE TO GET FULL PENSION
3.      TRANSPORT ALLOWANCE IN PLACE OF CONVEYANCE ALLOWANCE
4.      ENHANCEMENT OF READERS ALLOWANCE
5.      PERMISSION TO USE OWN/HIRED VEHICLE IN LTC/TA
6.      INSURANCE SHCEME TO THE DISABLED EMPLOYEES
7.      ALLOTMENT OF HOUSE SITES
8.      BARRIER FREE ENVIRONMENT IN THE OFFICES
9.      REGULARISATION OF SERVICES OF A.P.V.C.C. EMPLOYEES
10.  EXTENDING OF PENSION TO DISABLED EMPLOYEES APPOINTED FROM 01/09/2004 and WORKING IN PUBLIC SECTOR UNDERTAKINGS/ AUTONOMOUS BODIES ETC.
11.  DEPUTATION FACILITY FOR ACQUIRING FURTHER QUALIFICATIONS

The Disabled community will be thankful and remain grateful to our Honorable Chief Minister and the Minister for their gratitude.
